Chapter Leadership Update

Dan, Jamie, Alan and Tom were sworn in as our 2012 officers at the annual holiday party on December 14. Best of luck to them as they lead us forward.

Dan Savage - Dan is the Branch Manager for Securitas out of Albany covering the eastern half of New York State.

Jamie Irish - Jamie is in the Area Loss Prevention Manager at Trans World Entertainment covering stores in  NY, Northern Pennsylvania and the New England states.

Alan Brockbank - Alan is the former Security Director at the Pfizer Pharmaceuticals plant in Rouses Point, NY and currently the President of his own consulting company, B-Secure Consulting. Alan is a CPP.

Tom Murray - Tom is a partner and salesperson in a local Security and Fire integration company, Alarm and Suppression. Tom is a CPP.

December Holiday Party

It appeared to be another record year in 2011 for our annual Toys for Tots campaign.

A big thank you to the United States Marine Corp Reserves for the effort they put into this.

Welcome to the ASIS - Albany, NY chapter web presence. You will find on this site information on upcoming events, profiles and member spotlights, general chapter news, and contact information.

Our chapter meets monthly on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Meetings are held at 7:30am at the specified location.

Guests are typically free of charge, members are $15 at the door. RSVP's are appreciated.

Scholarship Program

Winner!

The winner of this year's ASIS Albany scholarship is Anthony Turnbull, a Criminal Justice major at Fulton Montgomery Community College.

Anthony wins $500 from the chapter plus a matching $500 contribution from ASIS headquarters.

Congratulations, Anthony.

February

Meeting...

Our February meeting will be on Wednesday the 15th at 4:00pm - dinner at 5:30pm and for those who want to stay, Albany Devils game at 7pm. 

We will be meeting at the Times Union Center in the Exhibition Hall.

We have a presentation on Event Security which will be put on by the Director of Security for te Times Union Center.

Fee is TBD for all attendees and an additional $12 per person for the Albany Devils ticket.
